Richard Ray
Dick Ray, new this year to Seacoast Academy of Music, comes to us after 25 years as the director of choral music at Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, NH. He has a wealth of private teaching experience as well, having taught guitar and electric bass since his undergraduate days at the University of New Hampshire.
Dick earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees from UNH, where he studied choral music under the direction of Karl Bratton. He has performed professionally on guitar and bass for decades with The Spectras, a seacoast-based rock band that has shared concerts stages with such popular music legends as Ray Charles, Simon and Garfunkel, The Doors, and The Beach Boys.
