Jean Antrim
Flute, chamber ensembles
An acclaimed concert flutist, Jean was playing in professional orchestras throughout the metropolitan New York/New Jersey area by the age of 13. At 14, she was awarded a scholarship by the legendary flutist William Kincaid to study with him at the Curtis Institute of Music.
She has achieved international distinction as an orchestral musician, concert solo and chamber music recitalist and recording artist. Her Rameau Trio is internationally recognized for their recordings of baroque chamber music for MMO Records. Her students have been consistent area and national first chair winners as well as first place winners in the prestigious international Jeunesses Musicales Competition. At the Seacoast Academy of Music, Jean is available to teach children and adults, beginner through professional.
