Dear Friends, Parents, Students and Prospective Students,

Welcome to Seacoast Academy of Music! Whether your interest is in beginning music lessons, developing your musicianship techniques, preparing for advanced musical education, auditioning for an upcoming performance, playing in an interesting musical ensemble or longing to play your favorite music, SAM is here to help you reach that goal.

Since we opened our doors eleven years ago, it has been my pleasure to observe my piano students, as well as those of my respected colleagues, experience innumerable "magical musical moments". Some of these moments were in grand style such as national recognition awards, music college acceptances, winning competitions and outstanding recital performances. But most of these moments happen in our teaching studios when our student confidently smiles after having played a beautiful musical phrase or when that nasty rhythmic pattern is mastered, the octave has been reached or simply when something "sounds good".

This past year I completed all requirements and became a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano. The experience has sharpened my teaching skills and strengthened my existing belief in the positive effects of good teaching. Selecting a music school is an important decision for you. Be assured that our teachers are caring professionals who focus, in their unique and individual ways, on good teaching.
